Black Bear Pass Sign Maintenance and Brown’s Gulch

The club organized a trail run up Brown’s Gulch, aka US Basin, for a visit to the Brooklyn Mine and to witness the spectacular views.

From there, we headed over to Black Bear Pass to touch up our signs by removing unwanted stickers (ALL of them), sanding, and a fresh coat of paint. Special thanks to our club president, Beth, and our secretary, Karin, for bringing the supplies and leading the effort.

A few continued up Black Bear Pass Road to scout for any further road maintenance needs, but quickly encountered the closed gate. As a reminder, Black Bear Pass is CLOSED for the remainder of the season.

Our last venture was to Red Mountain Town and a stop at the Yankee Girl Mine.

This day was a reminder as to what the Creeper Jeepers Gang is all about: four-wheeling on a gorgeous day in the high country with great friends, and giving back to our community by maintaining our trails for all to enjoy.
