Innovation

The Creeper Jeepers Gang was formed over 30 years ago by a group of friends working in an automotive shop in Durango.  There was no social media or internet at this time.  In fact, in order to communicate by phone, it was first necessary to make sure a neighbor wasn’t already talking on the party line.  Hence, the idea of having monthly meetings, to congregate and to organize events, was formed.

The Club has continued this tradition of monthly meetings throughout its existence.  However, our priorities as a society have changed.  Now, the quality of free time is more important than ever and club meetings, especially, are not on the list of priorities.

So, what if?  What if the Club evolves to prioritize the time of its Members and utilize social media and online platforms to do business and plan events?  What if the Club eliminates monthly meetings and gets back to the basics of having fun?

This approach is the new goal of the Creeper Jeepers Gang.  However, this requires a total revamping of our Club bylaws.  The Board of Directors has made some huge leaps over the past couple of months to make these changes.  Our hopes are high that the Club will be a leader in transforming the old way of doing business into one that focuses on recreational activities and fostering social interactions among its Members.  Will this work?  Only time will tell.

Please follow along and/or join us as we head into 2025, with more fun and less business.
